One Direction feel 'lucky' to be performing at the 'X Factor' live final

UK-based boyband One Direction are due to perform live at the upcoming 'X Factor' finals over the weekend and they feel 'lucky' to have been asked to get involved.

Speaking to WENN at last night's (December 11) BBC Music Awards in London, member Niall Horan confessed that returning to the 'X Factor' stage is always a special experience given their history with the show:

"For the past few years we've been lucky enough to be invited to perform at the final and perform during the series, so it's pretty good. Obviously we know the guy who runs the show, he's a friend of ours. To be so involved in the show is pretty cool and the line-up this weekend is pretty cool."

When singer Louis Tomlinson was asked if they'll be performing their new single 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go', he added: "Well, no it's not, but maybe it should be actually. Maybe we'll have a conversation about that!"

Earlier this week, music mogul Simon Cowell teased that the boys are planning something special for the live finale: "I was talking to the One Direction guys and they've planned something special...but I don't want to give anything away."
