One Direction tribute band: 'People have started crying when we’ve met them'A leading One Direction tribute band have opened up on the effect they have had on people. Glasgow's One and Only Direction have enjoyed a big year as they imitated the British-Irish boyband in style. Some members of the quintet had to be removed from a One Direction gig in Edinburgh after being mobbed and they regularly get spotted on the street. Speaking to the Daily Record, singer Liam Fergusson - who plays the role of Niall Horan - said that despite being lookalikes, they still cause fans to get emotional. He said: "People have started crying when we’ve met them, it’s mental that we have that effect on people. “It’s been an amazing year." Harry Styles copy Richard Dickson meanwhile added: "It was about February when people actually started saying it to me, because I never thought about it. “I didn’t really take an interest in looking like anyone apart from myself. I was walking down the street and people would say it to me and I was like, ‘Well maybe I should do something about it'." Follow us: @Pressparty on Twitter / Pressparty on Facebook.
