One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has landed highly in a list of Doncaster's most influential people.

The Doncaster Free Press have published a rundown of who they think are the most powerful people to hail from the English town.

Singer Tomlinson - who failed in an attempt to buy Doncaster Rovers football club in 2014 - was placed at No.3.

Labour leader Ed Miliband, who could become the country's Prime Minister later this year, found himself at No.4.

The Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones topped the list, with Jo Miller, who is the chief executive of the local council, following in second place.

Editor in chief of South Yorkshire Newspapers Chris Burton rounded off the list's top five.
