Louis Tomlinson confident about 1D future after Zayn Malik departure

Louis Tomlinson says One Direction will now go on to make their best album yet despite the departure of Zayn Malik.

The singer called time on the band on Wednesday (March 25), citing his desire to live a more normal life after five years in the spotlight.

The group will continue as a quartet and a new album is in the pipeline.

Singer Tomlinson broke his silence on the matter today (March 26) on Twitter, expressing an air of confidence about One Direction's future.

He said: "Been a crazy couple of days but know that we are going to work harder than ever to deliver the best album we've ever made for you guys!

"Your support has been incredible, truly incredible so thank you so much."

Bookmakers William Hill meanwhile have issued a series of Malik related odds.

They have odds of 1/1 on the singer achieving a solo No.1 single in the UK by the end of 2015.

The odds of One Direction splitting before the year is out are placed at 3/1.

Malik is also 4/1 on to marry Perrie Edwards in 2015.
