One Direction start work on next album

One Direction star Niall Horan has confirmed that work has now started on the band's next album.

The group released their latest effort 'FOUR' late last year.

After losing singer Zayn Malik recently, the hitmakers will continue as a four piece.

Horan took to Twitter on Sunday (March 29) to reveal that their next album is now underway.

He said: "Had a sit down last night with the label, started organising our writing sessions for the next album!

"F*ckkk yeaaaahhhh! Can't wait!"

One Direction have so far released four albums since forming in 2010.

Their first came in the shape of 2011's 'Up All Night'.
