1D's Liam Payne celebrates as charity fundraising efforts for Trekstock are successful

One Direction's Liam Payne recently teamed up with Trekstock, which is a charity that aims to help young adults diagnosed with cancer, and asked fans of the boyband to help raise $100,000 for the cause.

There are still 8 days to go on the fundraising page, but Directioners have already reached the impressive target. Tweeting about the success of the campaign, Payne thanked followers for being so supportive: "I can't believe u guys have made $100,000. You're truly amazing it's going to help so many people thank you xx."

As an incentive for fans donating, a special prize is being offered up and one lucky person will win the opportunity to attend One Direction's upcoming London concert and meet the lads backstage

Music mogul Simon Cowell, meanwhile, recently praised the remaining members of 1D and confessed that their new album is likely to be their best yet: "I have a feeling they are going to deliver this year the best record they've ever made. I've heard some of the early stuff. So I'm feeling good."
