Boyband One Direction have just been confirmed to present a prize at this year's Billboard Music Awards. 

The star-studded ceremony is set to take place on Sunday, May 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and the four-piece 'Story Of My Life' heartthrobs will be on hand to present. The band tweeted about the exciting news this afternoon: "USA! 1D are presenting an award at the @OfficialBBMAs on May 17. Who's going to tune in? #BBMAs."

Rapper Ludacris and supermodel Chrissy Teigen, who is married to 'All Of Me' sensation John Legend, will host the ceremony and performers include Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea, Little Big Town and Faith Hill.

Superstar Taylor Swift will also premiere her Joseph Kahn-directed music video for 'Bad Blood' at the beginning of the awards event.
