James Corden: 'No-one can replace Zayn in One Direction'

James Corden believes One Direction had no choice but to continue as a four-piece when Zayn Malik quit in March.

The singer called time on the boyband earlier this year to live a more normal live.

The group have continued as a quartet, with a new album in the pipeline.

Speaking on the red carpet at Sunday's (May 11) TV Baftas, Corden - who is good friends with One Direction - said that no-one is able to "replace" Malik.

He said: "No one can replace Zayn.

"It’s about the four of them and they have a very rich and brilliant future ahead of them.”

One Direction meanwhile will be interviewed on Corden's Late Late Show on May 14.
