Zayn Malik won't be appearing as a judge on this year's X Factor.

The former One Direction man found fame on the TV show in 2010 as part of the pop group.

Malik left the band in March and recent speculation linked him to a judging role on the series.

However, a rep for the singer has confirmed that the news is a "complete fabrication".

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson meanwhile has also been linked with a job on the show.

BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw has also been touted.
