One Direction have revealed that their upcoming North America concerts will act as this year's Honda Civic Tour.

The lads previously announced a number of stadium dates in the continent this summer.

However, it has now been confirmed that the shows will form the 2015 Honda Civic Tour, which has previously featured the likes of Maroon 5 and Paramore.

The boyband said in a video announcement that they will also be designing a car as part of the project.

Niall Horan added in a statement: "We're so excited about heading out on tour in the US in July and are really thrilled to be part of the Honda Civic Tour. It's going to be our best tour yet and we can't wait to see our incredible fans!"
