One Direction say music video for 'Drag Me Down' is coming in a matter of weeks

Boyband One Direction dropped a surprise single this week in the form of 'Drag Me Down' and they have now teased that the music video should be released in just a couple of weeks.

Louis Tomlinson confessed to Capital FM that the music video is likely to be unveiled very soon: “That’s a question I should know the answer to but I don’t! I’m going to say the video [is coming] probably in about two or three weeks, something like that.”

'Drag Me Down' shot straight in at the top spot on the UK singles chart today during the midweek update and while the positions won't be confirmed until this coming Friday (August 7), it's currently outselling its nearing competitor by two copies to one.

The song has also set an impressive new Spotify record for one-day streams on Spotify after it was was played 4.75 million times globally on Friday, July 31. Wiz Khalifa had previously set this record with his track 'See You Again,' which was streamed 4.26 million times on April 17.
