Niall Horan confesses: 'One Direction fame was so unexpected'

Boyband One Direction have enjoyed incredible success on an international scale, but member Niall Horan confessed that none of them expected to be so popular.

During a new interview with BBC Radio 1 this week, the Irish heartthrob admitted that they are all completely overwhelmed by how widely appreciated their music has been and can't thank fans enough for the constant support:

"We always talk about it, which is a good thing. We didn't realise. We thought we'd do a bit in the UK and trip around a little bit. Things have changed. It's pretty good, there's nothing to complain about really." He went onto add: "I don't think you can describe it too easily but it's been amazing so far."

1D's forthcoming music video for their new single 'Drag Me Down' is on its way and the lads recently confirmed that they filmed it at NASA’s headquarters in Houston, Texas. It was also directed by long term collaborators Fulwell 73.
