Louis Walsh: 'Harry Styles has the ambition and work ethic'

Boyband One Direction have enjoyed incredible success over the last 5 years, but music mogul Louis Walsh thinks their run might be coming to an end.

Walsh told Music Week that he thinks they are likely to do one more album and then call it a day, and suggested that member Harry Styles has the potential to go onto become a solo star:

"They've had an amazing run. I don't know who's going to be a [solo] star. If I was betting on anybody, I'd put my money on Harry, because he's got the ambition. Ambition and work ethic, to me they're as important as talent. The best singers in the world are backing singers, but they're not stars."

As previously reported, Walsh also said: "I think there's one more album and that's it. They've had an amazing, amazing career – who would have thought? Not me, ever. One Direction had one thing going for them and that was Simon [Cowell]."
