Boyband One Direction have been crowned the winners of this year's #MTVHottest with a phenomenal 94,291,338 votes. 

This marks the third year running that the lads have won the impressive title and the heartthrobs recorded a quick message for their fans and thanked everyone who had taken the time to vote for them: "Hi everybody. Thank you so much for voting for us in MTV Hottest. We won! Thank you very much!"

MTV explained that this year's MTV Hottest was the most popular yet: "Over the whole campaign you guys racked up 635 MILLION votes - that's the most we've EVER had for a vote like this. Consider yourselves lords of the Internet."

The full Top 20 will be announced exclusively this coming Saturday (August 29) from 1pm only on MTV Music. One Direction, meanwhile, have just released their new music video for 'Drag Me Down' and you can watch it below.
