1D's Liam Payne reassures fans band will 'work again' in future

One Direction star Liam Payne insists the group will resume duties again in the future.

The boyband are set to take a break from March 2016.

It has been suggested that the group will go on hiatus for one year as they explore solo projects.

Speaking in the October issue of Attitude, Payne said that he anticipates the quartet will reconvene after their break.

He said: "I realise now this is the time to start branching out and exploring.

"This won’t last forever, and there will be a point when we will break off and do our own things, but...we will work together again.”

One Direction meanwhile are expected to release their fifth album later this year.
