Liam Payne feels 'sad sad sad' as US leg of tour comes to an end

Boyband One Direction performed their final concert in North America last night (September 12) of their On The Road Again tour and member Liam Payne told fans that it is quite upsetting to think that this chapter of their collective career is now over.

The heartthrobs will resume their OTRA tour on September 24 in London and the entire jaunt is set to wrap up with a concert at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on October 31, before the band goes on a previously agreed upon hiatus for at least a year

After the concert, Payne took to his official Instagram account and shared the following message: "Sad sad sad see you soon America and Canada too you will both be missed a lot thank you for years of amazing crowds and celebrations."

Directioners soon took over social media and got the hashtag #LiamYouDeserveTheWorld into the top trending topics list. Upon seeing it, Payne thanked fans for the constant support and love, tweeting: "Thank you for the hashtag that means a lot right now."

Harry Styles also tweeted about the final show of the U.S. leg, writing: "Thank you Boston. That was the perfect way to wrap up the U.S. Tour. Thank you to everyone who works to make the shows happen. Thanks for spending some time with us. It's been an amazing tour, can't thank you enough. Thanks for having us. All the love."
