One Direction star Niall Horan has revealed that he hasn't been to his home town since Christmas.

The singer told fans on Twitter that he last time he was able to visit Mullingar in Ireland was at the last festive season.

He said: "Haven't been home since Christmas...So I'm looking forward to getting home this week to see the fam and the lads."

Horan and his bandmates have been busy this year touring and recording their forthcoming new album 'Made in the A.M.'.

However, it seems things might be catching up on the Irishman.

He followed up his tweet by saying on Twitter on Sunday (October 11):

"Top night again Birmingham...Need a good nights sleep tonight , the voice is starting to struggle with all these back t back shows."

One Direction will release their fifth album 'Midnight In The A.M.' on November 13 ahead of taking a prolonged break in 2016.
