Daniel Craig has joked that Niall Horan would make a good James Bond.

The actor stars in the spy series' latest flick Spectre, which is released today (October 26).

One Direction man Horan previously quipped that he would be up for playing the iconic role when Craig steps down.

It seems it something that the British actor might entertain.

He said in jest to Capital FM that the boyband man would be "absolutely fabulous" in the role.

One Direction meanwhile are set to enjoy time off next year.

They will take a prolonged break following the release of fifth album 'Made in the A.M.' on November 13.
