One Direction will be 'excited' to return from their extended break

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson said the band will return from their break all guns blazing.

The group are due to take a prolonged amount of time off in 2016.

The quartet are set to focus on individual projects and take a "breather" from their non-stop schedule.

Speaking to ITV, Tomlinson said that the group intends to come back strongly following their time off.

He said: "It really isn't that weird for a band who's had the schedule that we've had to be taking a little break, which is what we're doing.

"We're excited to come back, but at this time we're taking a little breather."

One Direction will release their fifth album 'Made in the A.M.' on November 13.

They have made an album a year since their 2011 debut 'Up All Night'.
