1D's Liam Payne: 'I want to develop new artists with Louis Tomlinson'

Singer Liam Payne has revealed that he will team up with one of his One Direction bandmates on their impending break to work on some musical endeavours.

He told The Sun on Sunday that he has a few joint projects with fellow 1D sensation Louis Tomlinson in the pipeline that he is excited about: "I'm going into music publishing, collaborating and writing songs for other artists."

"I'm very excited to see the business from the other side. I feel I have built up a lot of knowledge of the craft of songwriting, so I think this will work really well.” He concluded: "I still want to work with Louis as he is going into the label side of things, so the two match up perfectly. Hopefully we can develop some great artists together."

1D, meanwhile, will perform live at the American Music Awards, which is set to take place on November 21 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, and they will also make an appearance on Good Morning America a week after their new album is released, on November 17.
