The boyband will tape a live performance at the US chat show on November 17.

The slot will be broadcast a day later on November 18.

One Direction will be promoting their fifth album 'Made in the A.M.', which is set for a November 13 release.

The quartet will go head-to-head with Justin Bieber in the charts.

The Canadian is unleashing his latest effort 'Purpose' on the same day.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran meanwhile is also due to release a special edition of his 2014 record 'x' on November 13.
