Harry Styles has dismissed speculation that he will appear in Ab Fab: The Movie.

The One Direction singer has been linked with appearing in the film as a toyboy for Patsy Stone, who is played Joanna Lumley.

The movie version of the British sitcom is set to be released in 2016 - but Styles told Entertainment Tonight that he is not involved.

The singer said: "I don't know anything about it.

"If I am, I haven't got the script!"

Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein revealed earlier this year that he has met up with Styles on a number of occassions.

He added there is "no question" Styles will enter the movie business.

The Brit will have plenty of time to foray into film next year, with One Direction set to go on hiatus.
