It has been confirmed tonight (November 20) that One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.' has been certified Silver in the UK by the British Phonographic Industry. 

The BPI shared the exciting news this evening and announced that Silver certification means the record has sold over 60,000 copies: "Congrats @onedirection! #MADEINTHEAM is now Silver in the UK! #bpiAwards."

The boyband have just been added to the impressive line-up for this year's BBC Music Awards, which will take place in Birmingham on Thursday, December 10 at the Genting Arena and they will also be one of the musical guests on this year's New Year's Rockin' Eve. They will perform at the Billboard Hollywood Party section of the US TV programme in Los Angeles and the show will be broadcast on December 31.
