We roundup Louis Tomlinson's 2015 achievements on his 24th birthday

Today is One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson's birthday and we've rounded up his great achievements of the past 12 months.

It's never easy to have a birthday in December (let alone on Christmas Eve itself), but the 'Drag Me Down' sensation turns 24 today and he has done some fantastic things throughout 2015 that are worth celebrating.

Back in September, Tomlinson launched a competition for one lucky fan and a friend to be flown from anywhere in the world to watch One Direction play live in Dublin on October 17, and to also enjoy a meet and greet experience with the band. The only requirement for entry was to make a donation to the Eden Dora Trust, which is a "charity for children with Encephalitis and the life changing Acquired Brain Injury that follows this desperately sad illness". He became a patron of the Eden Dora Trust back in January 2015 and the organisation's site is currently selling teddy bears signed by him for £33 to raise money. Click here to purchase one of the adorable signed bears.

On August 10, Tomlinson hosted a special Cinderella Ball for Believe In Magic, which is a charity that spreads magic throughout the lives of seriously and terminally ill children, and at the ball bandmate Liam Payne donated over £50,000 just to get his face painted.

And to honour the superstar's 24th birthday, Directioners stepped up and raised over $25,000 (£16,800) for charity in honour of the special occasion. An online fundraising page was set up for Tomlinson's birthday to generate cash for the Eden Dora Trust, which counts the 1D singer as a patron.
