Niall Horan tells fans he won't disappear entirely during 1D's hiatus

Irish heartthrob Niall Horan has been taking a little break from social media over the festive and New Year's period, but reassured his fans this afternoon that he won't be disappearing entirely.

The One Direction sensation took to his Twitter page today (January 7) and told his followers that he's just enjoying some down time: "Hey guys just to let ya know, I'm still here don't worry. Just keeping my head down and enjoying the break, hope you understand. Love you."

Speaking to Digital Spy back in November, Horan revealed his plans for the boyband's hiatus: "For the first six months I'm planning on not doing much at all. Just sitting around, doing a bit of travelling and playing a bit of golf."

"That's pretty much what my year is going to consist of. I'm sure I'll do a couple of bits in between to keep my head ticking over, but I can't see myself doing much. It'll be a good time for us to sit back and reflect on what we've achieved. As we've gone along we've never really had the chance to do that."
