One Direction rep denies band are breaking up for good

One Direction have once again dismissed the idea that they are splitting for good.

The group went on a prolonged hiatus at the start of the year to take a break from their busy scheduled.

The four members are expected to engage in solo work in areas such as features, production and writing.

Recent speculation suggested that the quartet will not return once their break is over.

However, a rep for One Direction told Hello! that this isn't true.

They said: "[The claims are] fabrication and speculation.

"[They] have already addressed this many, many times."

It is expected that the band could return in 2017.

The group took time out after releasing 'Made in the A.M.' at the end of 2015 - their fifth album in five years.
