One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson has confirmed that his baby son has finally been born. 

The Internet lit up with reports of the birth of Tomlinson's first child on Friday and he eventually took to Twitter to confirm the news himself, writing: "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!!"

He welcomed the baby boy with Briana Jungwirth (pictured above with Tomlinson) although no further details have been shared. Tomlinson's mother, Johannah, retweeted his message on her own social media page.
