Niall Horan has been sending support to the Ireland football team ahead of their first Euro 2016 game.

The squad will go head-to-head with Sweden at 5pm BST on Monday (June 13).

Irishman Horan took to Twitter before the game to show his support for the team.

He wrote: "Here we go...Big day. Ireland's first game in the Euros V Sweden..."

Horan then tweeted the team's account: "Good luck to Martin  Roy and all the lads.

"Go out and do the country proud. COYBIG."
