One Direction achieve new sales milestone in the UK

Another One Direction single has gone gold in the UK.

The band's 2014 effort 'Night Changes' has now reached the milestone.

This means that the tune has shifted 400,000 copies in the UK.

It is just the latest single from One Direction to reach a massive sales mark.

A host of tracks have previously gone platinum, meaning that they have sold over 600,000 units.

They include their 2011 debut 'What Makes You Beautiful', 'Little Things' and 'Steal My Girl'.

One Direction are currently on a break after four years of non-stop work.

Despite their hiatus, the band won the best live act award at today's (July 1) O2 Silver Clef Awards.
