Cillian Murphy: 'Harry Styles was cast because he was talented'

One Direction member Harry Styles will appear in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated new feature film "Dunkirk" and the heartthrob's co-star Cillian Murphy thinks he is a great actor.

During a chat with ShortList magazine, he was asked if he had any words of advice for Styles where acting was concerned and confessed that a director like Nolan wouldn't have hired the young star unless he had natural born talent:

"It's not my job to give advice to people like that. Chris Nolan cast Harry Styles, and Chris Nolan knows what he's doing."

''He's not going to cast someone that doesn't have talent. I've hung out with Harry and he's a really cool kid, and I'm sure he'll do fantastically. But no. I hope I'm not in the 'elderly actor giving advice' bracket yet. That would give me a pain in the hole, to be honest."
