Legal action has been launched against the members of One Direction and former star Zayn Malik in Ireland.

The singers are listed in a mysterious lawsuit that was filed recently at the Irish High Court.

Also named are songwriters Jamie Scott, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan.

The three writers previously penned tracks like 'Story Of My Life' for One Direction.

A number of publishing companies and Sony Music Entertainment UK also feature.

Legal firm Smyth & Son took out the action for its client David Lewis last week.

However, they have not commented on the case and nothing is known about the legal action yet.
