Niall Horan suffered an awkward moment during a live radio interview this week.

The singer appeared on Australia's KIIS 1065 on Tuesday (October 4) to take calls from fans.

One girl revealed she was phoning in from school, with one of the presenters suggesting she should tell her friends because they would "lose their minds".

However, the caller said: "I’m sorry but I’m in Canada, no one really cares about it anymore.

"I know. People suck… it’s not my fault."

One Direction went on hiatus at the end of 2015 after releasing five albums.

Last week Horan unveiled his first solo single 'This Town'.
