Singer Liam Payne has assured One Direction fans that he is "certain" the boyband will reunite in the future. 

He hosted an impromptu Twitter Q&A last night and when one of his followers asked if the group would ever reform, he simply replied: "I'm 💯 certain that we will."

The star also revealed that he is "at home and am sick so I can't record at the moment", but explained that his solo material is coming along nicely: "Listen yeahhhhhh albums coming soon!!!!!! Hol tight for da rewind!"

While he avoided any questions relating to his girlfriend Cheryl's reported pregnancy, someone did ask if he was happy to which he replied: "The happiest I could be."
