One Direction Top Forbes' Highest Paid European Celebrities of 2016 List

British boyband One Direction have topped Forbes magazine's Highest Paid European Celebrities of 2016 list with combined earnings of $110m (£89,917,998).

Since the group went on hiatus, member Harry Styles shot scenes in his first major motion picture, Niall Horan released a solo single called "This Town", Louis Tomlinson performed on The X Factor with Steve Aoki, and Liam Payne is reportedly expecting his first child. 

At No. 2 is professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, with an $88m income (7£1,939,424), and at No. 3 is vocal sensation Adele with a cool take-home of $80.5m (£65,806,561). 

In sixth place is Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, with $63m (£51,502,758), Sir Paul McCartney is at No. 7 with $56.5m (£46,188,981), and Irish rockers U2 finished at No. 9 with $55m (£44,962,592).
