One Direction have confirmed that they will be appearing on the popular American television series iCarly.

The lads are due to begin their U.S. tour in support of Big Time Rush in February, but will fly out to the states to film their cameo on the Nickelodeon show next month.

A message on the group's official Twitter account, posted on January 27, explained:

"1D is taping an episode of @iCarly this Monday! Watch for it on @NickelodeonTV this spring! 1DHQ x"

iCarly is a teen sitcom that stars Miranda Cosgrove, who was in the 2003 smash hit movie School Of Rock.
