One Direction's Zayn Malik says sorry for "stealing" Darth Vader's gloves

One Direction star Zayn Malik has apologised for accidently stealing the gloves from a Darth Vader impersonator.

The incident happened whilst Malik was in the BBC Radio 1 studios, with the singer picking up the Star Wars themed gloves for a photo.

He thought that the custom-made Vader gloves belonged to the One Direction wardrobe - when in fact they were the property of impersonator Jeff Ives.

They went missing - but they have now been tracked down. A spokesman for One Direction told The Sun:

"Zayn wasn't even aware that these belonged to Darth Vader until we raised it with him. He thought they belonged to one of the other boys - he thought it was part of the 1D wardrobe. Zayn apologises to Darth Vader. We've tracked them down and they will be returned."
