One Direction's live DVD hits No.1 in the States

One Direction have notched up another No.1 in America - this time for their new live DVD.

The band released their debut DVD 'Up All Night: The Live Tour' recently and celebrated with a worldwide watching party.

It seems to have paid off, with Billboard reporting that the DVD has gone to No.1 in the Music Video Sales chart in the US.

They say that the DVD has sold 76,000 in its first week - the best sales week this year for any music video release in the country.

The sales figures are the largest for a music DVD in America since Adele's 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall', which shifted 96,000 units in its first week.
