One Direction deny reports Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder are engaged

One Direction have denied reports that Louis Tomlinson and his girlfriend Eleanor Calder are engaged.

It had been suggested in the tabloid press this morning (July 11) that Tomlinson and Calder are on course to tie the knot after the latter was snapped wearing a ring on her engagement finger.

The pair were seen at Nice Airport after a holiday in France.

The band's UK publicist Hackford Jones PR however tweeted The Mirror - who published the story - to deny the report, simply saying:

"Louis and Eleanor are not engaged."

It's not the first time One Direction's publicists have had to deny tabloid reports, with a recent story about Harry Styles reading a self-help book on how to seduce females firmly rubbished.
