It had been suggested in the tabloid press this morning (July 11) that Tomlinson and Calder are on course to tie the knot after the latter was snapped wearing a ring on her engagement finger.

The pair were seen at Nice Airport after a holiday in France.

The band's UK publicist Hackford Jones PR however tweeted The Mirror - who published the story - to deny the report, simply saying:

"Louis and Eleanor are not engaged."

It's not the first time One Direction's publicists have had to deny tabloid reports, with a recent story about Harry Styles reading a self-help book on how to seduce females firmly rubbished.
