One Direction's Niall Horan kept up all night by Olympic action

One Direction star Niall Horan's Olympic fever showed no signs of abating last night (August 6) after it stopped him from getting an early night.

The Irishman has been one of the more vocal London 2012 commentators on social networking website Twitter, regularly updating fans about what event he is watching.

Horan went down to check out hometown boy John Joe Nevin recently, watching from the ringside as he booked his place in the men's bantamweight semi-finals.

The 'Up All Night' singer tweeted yesterday that he tried to get an early night but added that he stayed up watching USA play Argentina in the basketball, with the former eventually reigning supreme. He said:

Went t bed like an hour ago and wanted t get a super early night! But i cant stop watchin #London2012 its crazy! USA v Argentina #Bball."
