He wrote: "I cant wait for you guys to hear the new albummm!!!"

The 'One Thing' singer's 5.1 million followers soon noticed he was at his computer and started sending him messages. One user wrote "omg Liam ilysm" and he soon replied, joking about the popular abbreviation which means 'I love you so much':

"its funny how everyone sees ilysm but says the full words in there head .... Weeeirrrddd :) buuuttt we could all be thinking it means different eg i like your skirt mary ..Orrr i like yoghurt school mondays ..weeird"

Member Zayn Malik also shared his thoughts on One Direction's new record last night (August 7) and tweeted: "Had wicked studio session today, really enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting this stuff out there for you guys x"
