One Direction have been giving their birthday wishes to singer Liam Payne.

Payne is today (August 29) celebrating his 19th birthday as he edges ever closer to becoming a twenty-something.

He had already celebrated the milestone with a massive Batman cake, a surprise party and a night out on the town at the weekend (August 25/26).

Bandmate Niall Horan took to Twitter today to wish Payne happy birthday, tweeting:

"Happy birthday to @Real_Liam_Payne , the big fella is 19! #upthelads ! Love ya bro."

Louis Tomlinson meanwhile echoed his sentiments, saying:

"Massive happy birthday to @Real_Liam_Payne. Big love man!"

The X Factor also give Payne their greetings, tweeting:

"#HappyBirthdayLiam Success hasn't changed him. He always strode around the studio in gold plated Y Fronts singing "I GOTTA BE MEEE!""
