One Direction's Zayn Malik has revealed that his first kiss was a short affair.

Recalling the somewhat awkward moment to Twist magazine, the 'Live While We're Young' singer explained that the girl was considerable taller than him so he had to improvise to reach her lips:

"I must have been about 9 or 10. It was just a peck, but the girl was really tall and I was really short."

"I had to get a brick and put it up against the wall and stand on it to give her a kiss because I couldn't reach her face."

He added: "It's really funny looking back on it."

Malik, along with his One Direction bandmates, graces the front cover of this week's Fabulous magazine (pictured below) and next to his cover photo he is quoted as saying, "I've struggled with fame".
