One Direction pay visit to seriously ill children at London hotel

One Direction made a group of seriously ill and terminally ill children’s wishes comes true this week when they paid them a visit at a London hotel.

The chart-topping boyband spent an afternoon getting to know the youngsters in a meeting organised by the Rays of Sunshine charity for which they are also ambassadors.

Liam Payne told The Sun: “It’s such a small thing for us but the kids get so much out of it. We really love doing things like this. We leave smiling because they are always so wonderful.”

Niall Horan then added: “It is totally humbling to meet kids like this. And it really makes you feel good that you can do something nice for them. We’ve had amazing good luck and many of these children haven’t. But they are always happy and we go away feeling brilliant. It’s like we’re giving something back.”

During the visit, seven year old Niamh Wyle, who was badly burned after her dress caught alight at her home in Leeds, told Harry: “You were my inspiration to get better. I even had a reward chart with your face on it and when I learnt to do things again, like walk, I got a star. You’re my favourite. I think you are very cute and funny.”
