One Direction confirm new U.S. single

Following their performance on last night's episode of X Factor USA, the One Direction heartthrobs have announced details of their forthcoming new American single.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest earlier today on his KIIS FM radio show, member Niall Horan explained that they will be releasing 'Kiss You' as their next U.S. cut:

"The next single is called 'Kiss You.' It is going to radio on the 16th of this month. So, you'll hear it very soon."

He added that performing the upbeat track live will be especially fun as it'll give him the chance to rock a bit of electric guitar on stage: "It's going to be fun actually, I think I'm going to play electric guitar in the show."

When asked if any girls from the audience might be brought onto the stage during the song, Horan joked that the track's tempo is too fast and it'll be over by the time someone has made their way from the crowd to where they are:

"The song is very fast, so by the time we get them on stage it's going to be finished!"
