One Direction's curly-haired heartthrob Harry Styles has been adding to his growing collection of body art over the past year, but when asked about his latest tattoos one of his bandmates stepped in with an explanation.

The 'Little Things' singer recently had two swallows inked underneath each shoulder on his chest and when asked my MTV about the significance of the traditional design, member Louis Tomlinson jumped in and answered on his behalf:

"You got it because you think they look cool. There's not that much meaning."

Liam Payne also confessed to having a bit of a germ phobia and explained that he can't bear to share bottles or drinks with the other One Direction lads because of it:

"I'm a hygiene freak. I can't share a drink with people. I don't like any of you, and you all smell weird and you don't wash properly. So why am I going to share a drink?"
