Heartthrob Liam Payne has taken to his official Twitter page in order to set the record straight about some gossip that has been circulating recently.

Last week, the One Direction superstar launched his own YouTube channel and it set tongues wagging over his position in the band, but he has now clarified that he has no intentions of going solo and also cleared up the rumour that suggests he is dating Leona Lewis:

"Okay bored of constant news articles... I'm not dating Leona ... My YouTube channel isn't for a solo career and I didn't insult Kim k...Pow!"

Lewis, meanwhile, has been somewhat cryptic when talking about her friendship with Payne and earlier this month admitted that they have a great connection and "see each other whenever we can":

"All I’ll say about the rumours of me dating Liam from One Direction is you never know where things might end up if they’re given half a chance. Other than that, I’ve never been one to talk about my personal life, because it’s important to keep a little bit of yourself sacred."
