One Direction are on course to have this year's most popular calendar in the UK.

Crooner Cliff Richard has historically been Britain's most popular pin-up but One Direction have now had Amazon's top selling calendar for two years.

In fact, their 2013 release is the biggest selling calendar in Amazon's history, outselling nearest rival Tom Daley by three times.

Amazon's book manager Darren Hardy said: "There are certainly many walls in many homes across the UK that are going to be enhanced for a full 12 months by images of the One Direction boys."

He continued: "Before 2011, no one could ever get near Cliff Richard at the top of the calendar charts but with a second year at the top spot, there is no doubting that One Direction have taken the crown as Britain's favourite pin ups."

The top ten best selling calendars of the year at Amazon are as follows:
