Chart-topping band One Direction say fans should expect "pure stupidity" from their latest video for 'Kiss You'.

The British five piece - comprising Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - are excited for the release of their newest promo on January 7, after recently premiering some of the hotly-anticipated footage to a room full of lucky fans.

When asked about what people can expect from their latest video offering at The X Factor USA Finale on Thursday night Tomlinson told MTV News: "Pure stupidity."

Payne added: "Yes, loads of fun. Stupid dancing, loads of different locations and lots of fun."

Styles continued: "I think it's our favourite one that we've done so far."

The video was directed by Vaughan Arnell, who also helmed the band's promos for recent hits 'Live While We're Young' and 'Little Things.'

Malik has previously spoken about the exciting concept behind the 'Kiss You' video.

He explained: "It's bigger than anything we've done before. It's a whole idea and it's kind of structured, which is a little bit different than what we've done before in like a comedy way. It's really funny. We are just having fun."
