'Little Things' heartthrob Harry Styles, of One Direction fame, recently told British funnyman Russell Brand that he would be a great sixth member of the band after seeing a picture of him as a youngster.

Brand shared a photograph of himself during his teenage years (shown left) on Twitter and accompanied the snapshot with the caption: "I could've been in 1D."

Upon seeing the tweet, Styles publicly replied and joked that he would "fit right in!"

The rumour mill has been in overdrive lately concerning the group's current line-up and member Liam Payne was forced to confirm that he has no plans to leave despite persistent speculation: "Thought I'd let you know this latest story is bulls**t I love you guys so much I love this band they're my best mates I ain't goin now werrr (sic)."
