One Direction's Harry Styles is known for being cheeky, but a photograph of him wearing a rather revealing shimmery thong has shown off another side to his loveable personality.

The snap shot (pictured below), in which he has no visible tattoos, was taken in the early days of the group's career as a band and shows the 'What Makes You Beautiul' hitmaker ironing a pair of white boxer briefs while wearing the very revealing and flamboybant under garment.

Styles, meanwhile, has been chatting with a few fans on his official Twitter page (March 25) and urged one of them to "stay in school", writing: "School is good, you learn stuff. STAY IN SCHOOL AND WORK HARD."

Following One Direction's recent double win at the Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Styles thanked the band's fans for such fantastic support: "The amount of time you guys put in to doing things for us is amazing. So again, thank you for everything you've done. It feels nice, love. x"
